Mike Biersma

Mike Biersma's connection to homes runs deep. He grew up in small-town Iowa building houses alongside his father, brother, and uncles, and carried a lifelong fascination with architecture into every chapter that followed. Over a fifteen-year career leading a branding and design studio in Chicago, and more than a decade in corporate technology spanning project management, user experience, design, and AI, he developed a rare command of the tools that make a property compelling: how it is presented, positioned, and brought to market.

That lifelong relationship with homes and design eventually led Mike and his wife Tiffany to San Miguel de Allende, where they relocated from the United States and now live full-time. Having navigated the move himself, from finding the right home to understanding what it truly means to buy and build a life in Mexico as a foreigner, Mike offers his clients something few advisors can: firsthand experience of the exact journey they are beginning. He works closely with international buyers, bringing a builder's eye, a designer's sensibility, and a full marketing and technology toolkit to bear on every property, so his clients find not just a home, but a place that fits the life they are creating here.

Today, Mike and Tiffany live on a ranchito outside San Miguel, in an off-grid home powered by the sun and fed by rainwater. They are restoring their seven acres, planting hundreds of agaves and trees to bring back the birds and native species the land once held. After twenty-five years in Chicago, the move to the countryside brought Mike back to his Iowa roots, only now, instead of cornfields, he wakes up to mountains, cactus, and the joyful chaos of their fourteen rescue dogs.
