The Welcome Table: A New Way to Begin in San Miguel de Allende

The Welcome Table: A New Way to Begin in San Miguel de Allende

Moving to San Miguel de Allende is rarely just about real estate.
It’s about imagining a different rhythm of life.
A slower morning. A deeper sense of community. A place that feels aligned, not just beautiful.

That’s why we created The Welcome Table.

The Welcome Table is an ongoing weekly gathering designed to help people thoughtfully explore what it really means to live, invest, and settle in San Miguel.

More Than a Meeting: A Starting Point

The Welcome Table is intentionally informal. Think coffee, treats, conversation, and clarity not presentations or pressure.

We gather every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at The Agency San Miguel de Allende located at Aldana 31.

Prospective residents, second-home buyers, investors, and curious visitors are invited to stop in and ask the questions that don’t always fit neatly into a showing or email exchange:

  • What neighborhoods actually fit your lifestyle?
  • How does buying in Mexico really work?
  • What should you know before renting, investing, or building?
  • How do you move here in a way that feels grounded, not rushed?

It’s a space to gather information, share experiences, and begin with confidence.

Built on Real Experience

The Welcome Table brings together a distinct, yet complementary, perspective shaped by both professional expertise and lived experience:

  • Tiffany Paige, Licensed Real Estate Advisor with The Agency San Miguel de Allende, specializes in residential sales and lifestyle-driven properties, guiding buyers and investors through everything from first purchases to long-term ownership with clarity and care.
  • Cynthia Alcocer, Licensed Real Estate Advisor with The Agency, focuses on rentals and transitional living solutions, helping clients navigate timing, flexibility, and short- to mid-term housing as they explore life in San Miguel.
  • Lisa May Cobham, International Relocation Specialist, brings deep insight into the logistics of moving countries, from visas and practical setup to the emotional realities of relocation, offering grounded guidance beyond the transaction itself.

What unites the team is not just professional knowledge, but lived experience. Each has personally navigated the process of building a life in San Miguel, allowing them to guide others with empathy, perspective, and real-world understanding.

A Consistent Presence at The Agency

The Welcome Table gathers every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at The Agency San Miguel de Allende, Aldana 31.

We chose consistency on purpose. A reliable place. A predictable time. An open door.

Each gathering is intentionally conversational and relaxed. No presentation. No pressure. Just thoughtful insight, real answers, and space to explore what life in San Miguel could look like.

Whether someone is actively planning a move or simply beginning to consider the idea, The Welcome Table is there – steady, welcoming, and ready when they are.

Why It Matters

San Miguel attracts people from all over the world, each bringing their own dreams, timelines, and expectations. But too often, the process can feel overwhelming or transactional.

The Welcome Table exists to slow things down.

To create a place where questions are welcomed.
Where curiosity is encouraged.
And where people can begin building community before they even choose a home.

Because the best moves, in real estate and in life, start with feeling supported.

The table is set and we’re excited to see you on Saturdays 10-12 at The Agency San Miguel.

Wrapped in Tradition: A February Love Letter to Tamales

February is, without question, tamale month; they are the rockstars of the season. Thanks to the beloved Rosca de Reyes ritual, we all know the rule: if you find the baby Jesús in your slice, you’re on tamale duty come February 2nd, Día de la Candelaria. But let’s be honest, tamales don’t belong to just one date on the calendar. They are a year-round comfort, deeply woven into Mexican daily life, shared rituals, and everyday routines.

Don’t Leave Your Brain at the Border

Buying property in another country can feel overwhelming. Different laws, unfamiliar terminology, cultural differences, and a flood of well-intentioned, but often inaccurate, advice can easily cloud the process.
